Set in a dramatic backdrop of woodlands, natural streams, and rolling hillsides, Loomis is a quaint, family-oriented community. Established in 1850 and incorporated in 1984, Loomis retains its rural character and charm and old-fashioned downtown. Loomis is located along Interstate 80 in Placer County only a short distance from Downtown Sacramento.
